Jim Morrison Handwritten

This was apparently written by Jim in June 1971 whilst in Paris and was featured on e-bay as the last poetry he wrote....what truth there is in this I have no way of knowing. It is certainly a different notebook from the Paris Journal butI am sure Jim had lots of books he was writing in at the time

Soon They will be here
Who?
O gentle listener, soon

I write these words in
The narrow privacy of my cell
To a Mexican girl

Jailer, I hear your keys
Dangling & clamouring
In the long hallway

Great Hiway
along the great ocean
I can give you a ride
a little further up the line

Toward the city

The universe, one line is a
long snake & we each are
facets on its jewelled skin
It moves inexorably, slowly
Winding peristaltic intestinal
Phallic orgasmic ass-wiggling
Slow. Fuck shit piss till
The skin of the dead beast
Shivers in hair raising waves
of love. Die brute. Claim
your world. Join the snake
on its slow journey

The eye of the pilot plane screams mute cloudly
the head jet
sensing the city. Streak
to the stars

But old snake moves & god
rolls slow in its progress
around to the end. If he
bites his own tail the earth will be born

jerk bait scrotum inc

but don't leave you stranded
on some foreign shore
crying aloud
asking for more

jerks, bats, baits

unborn
glorious sexual cool
I'm finally dead

Hey monkey
Wipe your nose
You're poisoned w/ books

all the poets
Trapped, lost, stone dead
in the dog-shit caverns of
The past (pagoda’s, temples)

We, truly, are alive

Man is defined by language
I talk, I am
All ideas can be reduced to shit
Not so words, & their combinations
The great philosophers are the great
poets

And the mathematicians
Poetry has a harmony &
majesty which cannot ever
be denied

I must apologise for my unintentional mistake. I was rather tired and run down from getting back from Paris when I typed the post and did not realise till Noras post what I had actually said. Oops my mistake.
The notebook was NOT sold on ebay and IS without doubt one of Jim's notebooks.
It was left in a Paris flat along with his 1969 poetry session and the tape of what has (in my view) been wrongly identified as The Last Paris Tape which consisted of a 15 minute drunken session with Jim and two unknown people.
It was sold via auction TWICE first in 2001 and then in 2006. Initially by Philippe Dalecky who claimed he was GIVEN the notebook and tapes by Jim Morrison. Of course the only person who can contradict Daleckys account is dead and its my belief that Dalecky on hearing Morrison was dead just kept the bag with the tapes and notebook with a view to profiting from it later...which he did.

We discussed this before on this thread

A member of the auction house staff shows off a handwritten notebook from US rockstar Jim Morrison, containing his last thoughts and musings, on display in London, Wednesday, July 26, 2006.

Now you are in danger
old sheep
Now you are in danger

When the true kings murderers
are allowed to run free
A 1000 magicians arise
in the night

So I say have fun
until the whole shithouse
goes up in smoke
get your favourite girl
& run

Can't you feel it now
that spring has come
it's time to play
in the scattered sun
it's time to run

Let the piper call the tune

Jim Morrison Last Photos From Paris???

Jim Morrison Last Photos From Paris???

Two photos are floating around the internet that claim to be the last known photos of a living Jim MorrisonMorrison died on July 3, 1971.
Jim Morrison flew to Paris in March 1971, took up residence in a rented apartment, and went for long walks through the city, admiring the city’s architecture. During that time, Morrison grew a beard. The ghostly shot captures him staring out of the window of the apartment where he would eventually die and is believed to be one of the last photographs taken of him and shows him sporting the beard.

The Polaroid photo above was auctioned along with his last notebook of poetry.

This photo also shows up as Jim’s last photos.  There were a series of photos taken on June 28, 1971 with his girlfriend Pamela Courson by Alain Ronay. These photos from a village near Chantilly taken a few days before Jim died.  He’s pretty clean shaven in these.

Was Jim Morrison Killed ?Lizard King was killed?

The official story is that Jim Morrison died at the age of 27-years-old in the early morning hours of July 3, 1971, in his bathtub at his apartment in Paris with his girlfriend Pamela Courson. The Doors manager, Bill Siddons, flew in from L.A. but did not see his body. Why not? The only people who apparently did were a few emergency medical personnel and Dr. Max Vassile, who is now deceased. He never gave any interviews only saying that Morrison died of "natural causes" specifically of heart failure which is why there was no autopsy. In this Rolling Stones article, things have changed quite a bit. Supposedly, Jim Morrison died in the bathroom of a Paris night club and that a singer, Marianne Faithful was sworn to secrecy not to talk about the events that lead to his overdosing of heroin that he bought from dealers for his girlfriend, Pamela Courson. Jim Morrison never did heroin in the U.S.A. and he had an intense hatred for the drug and needles as well. What did Marianne Faithful see exactly?
So why would he begin taking heroin in Paris, France? And if he did overdose why are mysterious people like this singer sworn not to talk about the events that night which led to his death? Wouldn't these events have come out into the mainstream press several weeks later? So what really did happened to James Douglas Morrison?
And who was the American poet and singer for the rock band, The Doors, and what did he really stand for? This is an excerpt from a 1970 interview with Lizzie James:
cinetropic.com/morrison/james.html
He talks about his dislike for drugs with Lizzie James in this 1970 full interview. We are supposed to believe he died of a drug overdose which caused heart failure. But his personal physician, Dr. Derwin gave him a complete physical before he left to France and said to the press, "Jim was in excellent health before leaving to Paris."
"We walked down to the Garden Spot on La Cienega for dinner. That was the evening we talked about drugs. I told him stories I'd heard of his acid escapades, and he laughed and said, 'I'm not interested in drugs,' almost scornfully, and lifted his martini glass towards me, rotating it slightly with a smile that said that this was the 'Crystal Ship.' Another time I offered him some speed, pot and once or twice some very superior downers, and he declined always, once with a derisive shake of his head saying, 'I don't need any pills.'"

The Rolling Stone interview was removed from youtube, so here is another interview with Jim Morrison (audio starts off low quality):

Update 28 Feb 2008:
I have noticed a pattern. After they kill famous and important people, and then they become legends, they have to do something to turn the general population away from them by writing lies like these below:
contactmusic.com morrison was bisexual
Otherwise, people may be inspired to find out why he really died. It's better to turn the masses away before they start investigating the crimes they have committed and find out some terrible facts.
The remaining three members of the band, his former friends, and many others that knew him said this book, Jim Morrison: Life, Death, Legend, by Stephen Davis, is spreading the lie that he was bisexual or homosexual. They all say without question he was straight.
And he loved one girl in particular, his long time girlfriend, Pamela Courson who died two years and nine months later after Jim Morrison's death on April 25, 1974 of a heroin overdose — surprise, surprise. How many rock stars and the people that knew them during the 1960's and 1970's died of a "heroin overdose" or other strange deaths? For instance, look at this list of dead rock stars put together by a police-pathologist, Dr. Ed Friedlander. What is going on here?
The book, No One Here Gets Out Alive, by Jerry Hopkins and Danny Sugerman, is described as the first biography of Jim Morrison, but his sister, Anne Morrison, said that "my brother was not in that book." In other words, she did not consider the book to be a biography of her brother. Some people on the Internet have sarcastically referred to this book as Nothing Here but Lies. Ray Manzarek was so disgusted by Oliver Stone's movie about The Doors which portrayed Jim Morrison as crazy and out-of-control that he directed his own movie The Soft Parade to counteract the Zionist propaganda and lies. And recently a new documentary about Jim Morrison and The Doors, When You're Strange, has been released to further counteract the propaganda about Morrison and the band.

Admiral Morrison,

and the Zionist Connection
Morrison's military awards According to his military record, Admiral Morrison was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal with "V" for valor device (Korean War), the Air Medal with two Gold Stars and the Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon (World War II).
Rear Admiral Morrison also received the American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three Stars, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon with Bronze Star, Korean Service Medal, United National Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Taiwan Straits) and the Vietnam Service Medal. He also received the Korean Presidential Unit Citation Medal.

and Vice Adm. William F. Bringle, commander of the U.S. 7th Fleet in the Pacific.
As of Nov. 2009, both  the New York Times (here) and the Wikipedia (here) have selected this particular photo of Morrison with a smear on his face. Is it a coincidence that of all the photos, they selected one with this imperfection?
A British newspaper (here) used the same photo, but without the imperfection.
Jim Morrison came from a military family. His father was a career U.S. Navy officer and a graduate of the Naval Academy. Admiral G.S. Morrison was one of the youngest Navy officers ever selected to become a Rear Admiral at the age of 47-years-old. Then a young Ensign, Admiral Morrison was stationed at Pearl Harbor, and was an eyewitness to the attack on Dec. 7, 1941. He flew fighter aircraft in the South Pacific during the last year of WW II and again during the Korean War.
Jim Morrison and his family were frequently moving during the late 1940's through the 1960's to new assignments his father was ordered to report to. While Jim Morrison was in college at UCLA film school, his father was leading a battle carrier group off the coast of South Vietnam in 1964.
You can read his biography here in this article:
signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20081128/news_1m28morrison.html
Jim Morrison graduated from film school at UCLA in 1965 and he and Ray Manzarek formed The Doors in June of that year. The Vietnam war was escalating and there was a particular event that many Americans may still not have heard of yet but Admiral Morrison was very vocal about. That is an intelligence gathering ship, the U.S.S. Liberty which was stationed in the Mediterranean Sea near the Sinai Peninsula during the Six day War between Israel and Egypt when it was attacked by Israeli fighter jets on June 8, 1967 killing 34 and wounding 171 crewmembers.
The attack by the Israeli fighter jets lasted for over an hour and the crew of the U.S.S. Liberty being a non-combat ship only had two 0.50 inches caliber guns both fore and aft of the vessel but never got off a shot as these weapons were immediately destroyed by the Israeli jets.
After the Israeli fighter aircraft attack, the U.S.S. Liberty was again attacked by Israeli torpedo boats, which fired five torpedoes, one of which hit the Liberty creating a forty hole and killing 25 sailors. The Israeli torpedo boats also attacked with cannon fire and machine gunned defenseless American sailors in the water and as they were attempting to enter life rafts. The torpedo boats however failed to sink the U.S.S. Liberty.

At this page you can hear audio interviews of Commander James Ennes, U.S. Navy, retired, who was one of the officers on board that day. He tells in graphic detail how the attack happened and how they repeatedly told the Israelis they were an American ship. There is also an interview with a sailor who was on the U.S.S. America.
During the attack, the U.S.S. Liberty was able to get off a message to its flagship the aircraft carrier U.S.S. America and said that they were under attack. The U.S.S. America immediately scrambled F-4 Phantom fighter jets but were recalled by President Lyndon Johnson. What were President Johnson's motives for doing this?
Meanwhile, after the Israeli torpedo boats murdered American sailors trying to reach the safety of the life rafts, in came some Israeli helicopters with assault troops ready to board the ship and to kill the remaining crew members who had survived both attacks. The helicopters however, did not land on the ship as there was some radio traffic that suggested that U.S. fighter jets were again on their way to engage the Israelis.
You can read about the account of the U.S.S. Liberty here at the Wikipedia. Keep in mind however, that Wikipedia has strong Zionist connections so they are going to try and favor Israel in a positive light. There is another website, gtr5.com from the crew of the U.S.S. Liberty.
The U.S.S. Liberty flew the American flag that day so there was no question that the Israeli fighter jets did not know whose ship it was they were attacking. The Israeli fighter jets used rockets and cannon fire at the ship and many of the sailors that were hit by fragments were unrecognizable because of the damage these weapons do to the human body. Some of the sailors were also incinerated beyond recognition. Clearly, the Israelis were trying to sink this American ship. Although they claimed over the past decades that it was a mistake. Admiral Morrison thought otherwise:

Here is an excerpt from the Wikipedia of Admiral Morrison's stance against Israel (this section has since been erased, but a copy is still in their editing history here): Some believe his Naval career may have been slowed by political undertones surrounding his analysis of the U.S.S. Liberty incident which occurred in 1967. Morrison opposed the official U.S. Navy response to the attack, and proposed an immediate and swift economic and military response against Israel for the attack on an official U.S. Navy ship.
[Admiral] Morrison's analysis and political motivation was at odds with the soft non-militaristic response ultimately taken by the U.S. State Department and U.S. Navy. [Admiral] Morrison asserted Israeli intentionally attacked the U.S.S. Liberty, trying to disguise Israeli torpedo boats as Syrian vessels in an attempt to provoke a war between the United States and Syria. This would have increased United State military and financial assistance during the Six Day War.
Conclusion
It is possible that Zionist Jews killed Jim Morrison in retaliation for his father's stance against Israel, and wanting a U.S. military strike against that country. It is also possible that the Zionists were afraid of Jim Morrison's independence, and they thought they could no longer control him so they killed him to get rid of someone who would have certainly had enough personal courage and guts to expose the criminal Jews and the crimes they have committed. Jim Morrison and his father, Rear Admiral Steve Morrison, didn't get along very well as father and son, but it sure does seem like they were fighting a common enemy, the Zionist Jews.

Additional information about the attack of the U.S.S. Liberty:
Commander James Ennes also reports that:
"According to eyewitness accounts by Israeli officers and journalists, the Israeli Army--the Army that claims to hold itself to a higher moral standard than other armies--executed as many as 1,000 Arab prisoners during the 1967 war."
An Israeli military historian, Aryeh Yitzhaki also said,
"That Israeli troops carried out several mass killing in 1967 in which about 1,000 Egyptian prisoners were slain in the Sinai. Yitzhaki, who worked in the Israeli army's history department after the war, said he and other officers collected testimony from dozens of soldiers who admitted killing POW's. He said a report on the killings submitted to his superiors has been locked into a safe at military headquarters."
And yet another Israeli historian, Uni Milstein, said:
"There were many incidents in the 1967 war in which Egyptian soldiers were killed by Israeli soldiers after they had raised their hands in surrender....It was no official policy, but there was an atmosphere that it was ok to do it, Milstein said."
He also commented,
"Some commanders decided to do it, others refused. But everyone knew about it."
It is important to note that these murders show a pattern of how the Zionists mirror the Nazis in their killings in WW II. Indeed, as Arthur Koestler reports in his book, "The 13th Tribe," the word Nazi comes from the last four letters of Ashkenazi which is what the Khazarian Jews called themselves.  People Behind The Doors 26 March 2010
• Jac Holzman
Jac Holzman, a Jew, was born in 1931 and attended St. John's College. He was the CEO and President of Elektra Records. He personally saw the Doors play several times live before signing them to a six record contract deal. The Doors' first record, The Doors, was released in 1967 and their last record, L.A. Woman was released in 1971. However, in 1970, Mr. Holzman sold all of his music interests to Warner Communications, Inc., but he continuted to run Elektra Records until 1973.  You can read more about his illustrious career in music and the home video cable industry here: followthemusic/whojac.html.

Jac Holzman at the GRAMMY Awards in 2008
(Click photo for details)
And this Wikipedia entry says, "After Edgar Bronfman, Jr. and a group of investors bought out Warner Music Group from Time Warner in 2004 for $2.6 billion, Bronfman brought Holzman out of quasi-retirement to help revitalize his company, reuniting him with the company that had acquired his previous forays into the music business...." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jac_Holzman. It is interesting to note that the Zionist Jews like Edgar Bronfman, Jr. don't work with just anyone. Jac Holzman talks about when he was president of Elketra Records and his time with The Doors in this video clip:

• Danny Sugarman

Sugarman, younger.
Trying to look like Morrison?

Sugarman, older.
Danny Sugarman, also a Jew was born in 1954 and died in 2005 of lung cancer at the age of 50-years-old. He was one of the managers of the The Doors. He wrote several books about Jim Morrison and The Doors, including No One Gets Out Of Here Alive with Jerry Hopkins. As reported in this article, many people have referred to this book as "Nothing In Here But Lies". Sugarman began working for The Doors when he was 12-years-old. Jim Morrison hired him to answer fan mail. Later on, in 1991, Sugarman married Fawn Hall, of the Iran-Contra scandal. She was Lt. Col. Oliver North's secretary and she was implicated in stealing an destroying important documents regarding the investigation. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danny_Sugerman
Sugarman dressed like Jim Morrison and apparently idolized him. Many people say he wanted to be like Jim Morrison. However, completely unlike Jim Morrison, Sugarman was a heroin addict, and stated, "I was on heroin for almost fifteen years and I am active on the college lecture/reading circuit, often teaming up with other addict writers like Wm. Burroughs, Jim Carroll and Timothy Leary...." You can read a letter he wrote to author Dr. Arnold S. Trebach who wrote, The Heroin Solution here: trebach.com/gfx/msgp2.gif.
Here is an interview of Danny Sugarman about his book, No One Gets Out of Here Alive on youtube.com in 1981. The footage is grainy but the audio is OK.
youtube.com/watch?v=OFnNaiaSQtM

• Bill Siddons
Bill Siddons, born in 1949, was only 18-years-old when he began to manage The Doors from 1968 to 1972. After the death of Jim Morrison, he managed the three remaining members of The Doors for two more albums. In the Wikipedia article linked below, Siddons says, "He was the one person in the United States Pamela Courson contacted from Paris after Morrison had died. He arranged the funeral and burial with Pamela but never saw Jim's body due to the closed casket and his aversion to seeing his friend dead."

Bill Siddons in 2008 during an interview

He also said, "We buried Jim correctly." and,  "And that perhaps was greatest achievement: making sure we kept it quiet until it was done the right way. Nothing to hide, but we knew that what was going to happen because we'd just been through it with Jimi and Janis."  en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Siddons. Should we trust Bill Siddons? He went to Paris to verify the death of Jim Morrison but refused to look in the coffin to identify Morrison, "...but never saw Jim's body due to the closed casket and his aversion to seeing his friend dead."
Why did he go to Paris, France to identify Jim Morrison's dead body if he was truly incapable of viewing Morrison's dead body?

Bill Siddons, left, sitting next to Jim Morrison, and Robbie Krieger standing behind them
There were no official French police photographs of Jim Morrison's body. In fact, there are no photographs of any kind of Jim Morrison's body. And Bill Siddons never saw his body. So what evidence do we have that Jim Morrison died in the manner that was reported? If Siddons had looked in the casket, would he have seen that Morrison died a violent death? Or was the casket empty? Or was Morrison kidnapped? Have you heard about the mysterious disappearance of Christopher Bollyn and his family; the mysterious disappearance of Natalie Holloway; or the Johnny Gosch kidnapping?  Bill Siddons dated Lynette 'Squeaky Fromme', according to this article: alienbodies.wikidot.com/bill-siddons. She was a member of the Charles Manson family in 1967, and was arrested for attempting to assassinate President Gerald Ford in 1975. Charles Manson, of course, was accused of the Sharon Tate murders. Sharon Tate married film director Roman Polanski in Jan 1968, and was killed August 9, 1969.
For more information about:
• Roman Polanski and his rape of a 13-year-old girl here.
• Squeaky Fromme here.

Isn't it interesting that Bill Siddons dated Lynette 'Squeaky Fromme', and Danny Sugarman married Fawn Hall? Also, Natalie Holloway's mother is dating JonBenet Ramsey's father! Are these coincidences? Or are criminals attracted to one another?
To add further to the confusion, all three remaining members of The Doors have made strange statements concerning Jim Morrison's gravesite. For example:
Ray Manzarek, in a recent interview, said when he was at his grave, "The energy just wasn't there, man."  • Robbie Krieger commented that when he was at his grave, he didn't feel like Jim Morrison was there.
John Densmore said he thought the grave was too short for Jim Morrison's body.
• Paul A. Rothchild
Paul Rothchild was born in 1935 and died in 1995 of lung cancer. He was the producer of The Doors for five of their albums from 1967-1971. He decided not to produce their last album, L.A. Woman because of a disagreement with the band where they were headed musically with this album. You can read more about his biography here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_A._Rothchild

Paul Rothchild, left, standing next to Jim Morrison in 1967

(Click photo for details)

Rothchild gave an interview with BAM magazine in 1981.
archives.waiting-forthe-sun.net/Pages/Interviews/OtherInterviews/rothchild_bam.html
In one of the questions, he answers very critically of Danny Sugarman's part in the book No One Here Gets Out Alive. Rothchild says,
"Danny Sugarman, (co-author of the book) is a FAN of The Doors who took Jerry Hopkins' original manuscript and destroyed it. Danny Sugarman didn't interview me, Jerry did. Danny then changed a lot of my interview to HEARSAY that other people did. I am FURIOUS about the book, and so is everyone else I've talked to who is quoted in it. It's a great piece of sensationalism, very little of which holds to historical fact. The general shape of it is correct, but Jim is sensationalized rather than spectacularly, and the best parts of Morrison are not there. The people who really helped The Doors' career are treated in a very cavalier manner, and the only people who come off well in my opinion are the groupes and sycophants who were hanging around the band and close to Danny Sugarman--who was a groupie himself."
He further comments on the book in a later question,
"There's only one thing in the whole process that bothers me, and that is Danny Sugarman's book. If Jim Morrison were alive today, he'd be livid about that book. Not because the truth it tells, but because of the lies it maintains. Like Sugarman's trying to keep going the myth that Jim might still be alive! That is pure, total unmitigated BULLSHIT! If Danny had sat where you're sitting and listened to Pam after she came back from Paris, he wouldn't be trying to perpetuate this myth---and that's what it is. Pam and I were very dear friends. She sat on this sofa night after night and she'd cry, with the DEEPEST grief, over the loss of Jim. Night after night. It became a mania for her. She eventually gave up her life because of her love for Jim."
Is it possible that Danny Sugarman was pushing the myth that Jim Morrison was still alive in order to cover up his murder and how he was killed so people would not investigate Morrison's death? Danny Sugarman began by answering fan mail for the band, and later became their manager. Was Danny Sugarman just an innocent young man who idolized Jim Morrison, or was he much more than that?

Search for Jim Morrison's Lost Shelby - Jim 's Lost Car

Search for Morrison's Lost Shelby

I started to wonder a few years ago when the search for old Shelby's started to be part of my life. I watched "Love Story" and remembered a 66 GT 350 parked on a Boston street. This was before VHS so I couldn't rewind the tape and check out the car a second time.

I recall being talked into watching a Jane Fonda movie once and seeing a 67 GT 350 in the background. It was wimbledon white and I was able to catch a quick glimpse of the car.

Then one Saturday night I watched "Bullitt" on TBS. My older brother kept on mentioning to me to make sure to wait for "The Chase". Finally when McQueen jumped into his 68 Mustang I knew what he was referring too.

I was at a Los Angeles cruise night a few years back checking out a white 1967 GT 500. The owner and I started talking about Cobra's and Shelby Mustangs.
"Only a few miles up the road Jim Morrison hit a pole one night with one of these". "You mean Jim Morrison of the Doors" I asked.

One of the problems researching a car accident from forty years ago is the false information out there.

Rumor had it that Electra Records purchased Jim Morrison of "The Doors" a night mist blue 67 GT 500 for his fine work on the album "The Doors".
Morrison had a reputation of abusing just about everything he touched and with that in mind the GT 500 sat on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles just waiting for something to happen.
And it did.
One Friday night Morrison, driving recklessly, hit a telephone pole on Sunset Blvd and proceeded to jump out of the car and started to inspect the damage.
Frustrated, he walked up the road to the Whiskey A- Go-Go and continued his evening.
Hours later he walked back to the Shelby and by now the car was gone.
Now the mystery starts.
According to some, he never followed up on the accident or who towed the car.
Touring with a popular band in the 1960's Morrison had many distractions and a minor car accident probably wasn't his biggest priority.
Another interesting story worth mentioning is the LAX connection.
Morrison drove the Shelby to Los Angeles International Airport and left it there for an extended period of time while he was traveling.
When he returned the automobile was already towed away and sold at public auction.

Another persistent story I heard was that the GT 500 was resold many times in Southern California and no one really knew the history of the car. It had been in numerous accidents and didn't have much left to it. Finally on its last leg it made it to the crusher in the early 1980's.

This writer was contacted in 2005 by a woman from the Phoenix area who asked many questions about how she'd identify a very famous 67 Shelby owned by a "deceased rock star". I pressed the woman for more details however she suddenly became rather evasive and ended the call quickly.

I realized after the Phoenix call that even if the car was in front of me I couldn't tell if it was Morrison's or not.
I was confident it was a night mist blue 67 GT 500 but I needed much more than that.
With the help of Kerry Humphreys, publisher of "The Doors Collectors Magazine", I was able to contact Frank Lisciandro who was a personal friend of Jim Morrison.
Mr. Lisciandro came into possession of many documents of Morrison's when he died in Paris in 1971.
One of the documents was an original registration for a "1967 GT 500" from 1969.
"Whose name is on the registration" I asked.
"James Douglas Morrison"
After lengthy negotiations Tango Classic Auto's was able to purchase the original registration with the much needed vehicle identification number.

Tango recently came in possession of a film with Morrison driving his 67 GT 500 and it was indeed nightmist blue. And there is no doubt that it's a four speed. For the record, he was beating the hell out of it.

It's been about 40 years since this Shelby was running around Hollywood however just recently I had an interesting conversation concerning this piece of history.

For the time being, I'll keep that discussion to myself.
